ABOUT ME

💡 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧

I got tired of the ineffective, fast-paced, drama-centered world of news, but I LOVED breaking down complex topics into easy, engaging materials. After some soul-searching, I stumbled upon instructional design and discovered I could create games to increase learner engagement. I also LOVE games, so the learning and development field had me hooked. I truly believe learning is not meant to be boring.

💡 𝐌𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
I'm a passionate adult educator and emerging eLearning leader with over five years of experience dedicated to engaging and training external audiences.

I help businesses deliver training through instructional design that achieves desired learning outcomes.

💡 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬
I conduct a needs analysis and decide what learning & development approach is best. Will a corporate training course really fix the performance problem?
I apply instructional design processes and models like Bloom's Taxonomy, Andragogy, Gagne's Nine Instructional Events, Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation, Merrill's First Principles of Instruction, ADDIE, Cognitive Load Theory, Action Mapping and Mayer's 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning.
